20 Years Young

15 km from Stuttgart is the thousand-year old town of Sindelfingen. Home to the largest production facility of Mercedes-Benz, this is where the high-end production cars are assembled, including the ne plus ultra W124, the formidable 500E that was built in both Sindelfingen and by Porsche in Zuffenhausen.

It was in November of 1995 that A124 #232232 left the Sindelfingen facility, becoming one of 33,952 A124 Cabriolets produced from 1991-1997. This particular 4-seater cabriolet was among the last of the Cabriolets bound for the US market, sold from the floor of a New Jersey dealership on June 24th of 1996.

Congratulations to E320 Cabriolets everywhere on completing a second decade in style. Time can be cruel to old cars, but this model seems poised to endure.
